ATM’s

Scotiabank ATM’s comprises a national network of more than 1,400 machines strategically located at bank’s branches, hotels, restaurants, malls and shopping centers, supermarkets, tourist resorts, main avenues, airports, bus stations, as well as at corporative and commercial companies and government agencies.

Scotiabank ATM’s are classified in two different types:

·        Branch Type. These are bigger size equipments with booths, where the clients have access to by using their Debit, Credit, or Cash Back Cards, and which are located mainly at the bank’s branches

·         Lobby Type.  These are smaller size equipments which do not have booths and are located outside our Branch Network

Also, in order to have access to the ATM’s there are three different devices or Card scanners:

·         Motorized.  With this device, the card stays inside the equipment and will be automatically returned to you as soon as you are done with all of your transactions.  This is called “multi-transactional”, as you may carry out all the transactions you want in only one session

·         DIP. The card must be inserted and withdrawn immediately, so the session can get started.  ATM’s with this kind of scanner are called “mono-transactional”, as, for your own safety, you can only carry out one transaction per session

·         SWIP. The card must be slid from top to bottom, so the session can get started.  ATM’s with this kind of scanner are called “mono-transactional”, as, for your own safety, you can only carry out one transaction per session

Scotiabank ATM’s represent a mean of access to grant banking services to its Clients, as well as clients from different Banks and American Express and they are available 24 hours, every day of the year.

Transactions you may carry out at these ATM’s are as follows:

·         Cash withdrawals

·         Balance enquiries on checking account and Cuenta Unica

·         Transactions’ enquiries

·         PIN change (Personal Identification Number)

·         Deposits and services payments (subject to final payment)

·         Investment Fund purchases and price enquiries

·         Long term investments through Cuenta Unica and rate inquiries

·         Cell-phone credit purchases

·         US dollars purchases*

Transactions you make until 22:00 will take effect on the same day, after that, they will take effect on the next day.
