·         To be an Individual or Business Individual (Mexican or Foreign)

·         To be older than 18 years

·         To have a Scotiabank’s Cuenta Unica

·         To have a minimum amount of: $20,000.00 in Local Currency

·         To fill out your contract’s opening application through our webpage

·         To sign the following documentation:

o     Scotiatrade Stock-market Intermediation Contract and Amendment Agreement

o     Investment Funds’ Prospects’ Acknowledgement of receipt

o     Letter of Authorization to charge and/or deposit credits on your ScotiaBank checking account. Letter of authorization to charge your checking account or credit card with the generated fees

o        Letter of no Tax Payer Registration*

o       User’s number and password letter of receipt and confidentiality

·         Submit the documentation, accordingly:

For Mexican Individuals

·        Recent proof of address (Electric, water, telephone, property tax bills)

·        Valid official ID with photograph and signature

·        Nationality Supportive document**

·        Tax payer identification card***

For Foreign Individuals

·        Recent proof of address (Electric, water, telephone, property tax bills)

·        Valid official ID with photograph and signature

·        Immigration form or border areas’ ID card

·        Nationality Supportive document (Valid passport, birth certificate)

For Mexican Business Individuals

·        Recent proof of address (Electric, water, telephone, property tax bills)

·        Incorporation Agreement and Public Registry of Commerce (original or certified copy)

·        Representatives’ Power of Attorneys (for Administrative Purposes)

·         Tax payer identification card of the business individual

·         Partners and representatives’ valid official ID’s with photograph  and signature

For Foreign Business Individuals

·        Recent proof of address (Electric, water, telephone, property tax bills)

·        Certification of legal existence (Constituent)

·        Document accrediting the Individual who holds him/herself as his/her Representative (Power of attorneys’ allocation)

·         Representative’s valid official ID with photograph and signature

Five business days at the most after signing the contract and submitting your documents and, in case there are no setbacks, you will receive your user’s number as well as an enabling notification, via email. You will then be able to have access to the fastest and most safe means to carry out your Stock Market transactions via Internet.

* Individuals who do not have a Tax payer identification card.

** In case of submitting an ID other than the voter’s registration card

*** In case of not having it, you will need to submit a Letter of no Tax payer Registration.
